SANWO-OLU’S AIDE LEADS DELEGATION TO 45TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF FORESTRY ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative, and Civic Engagement, Dr. Afolabi Abiodun Tajudeen has led a delegation from Lagos to the 45th Annual Conference of the Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN).
The Conference, themed: “Forests for National Wealth and Job Creation”, is being held at the Katsina Local Government Service Commission, opposite the State House of Assembly, Katsina State.

The conference which was declared open by the Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency, Dr. Umaru Radda CFR, (Gwagwaran Kastina), slated to be held from May 6th to May 11th, 2024, has brought together leading figures and experts in the field of forestry to deliberate on crucial issues on the sustainable management of forests for national development.
Among the highlights of the event was the Conferment of Life Membership and Fellow of the Association on the Governor of Katsina State marking a significant moment in the history of the Association.
Reflecting on his visit to Katsina State and the successful inauguration of the conference, Dr. Afolabi Abiodun, who also serves as the National President of FAN, expressed his delight, describing the experience as a “dream come true”.
The Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN) is a leading professional body dedicated to the advancement of forestry practices and policies in Nigeria. With a rich history spanning over four decades, FAN remains committed to promoting sustainable forest management practices for the benefit of present and future generations.
