Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi George, has demanded total commitment from his players as they aim to secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, introduced 53-year-old Finidi to the media on Monday.

He signed a one-year contract with a one-year extension option.

The head coach’s first task is to guarantee the Super Eagles a spot in the 2026 World Cup finals.

Next month, the Super Eagles will take on South Africa and Benin in a make or mar qualifiers.

The West Africans are winless in Group C after recording draws in their opening two games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

ā€œNigeria comes first, thatā€™s what I expect from every player I invite,ā€ he said at the media briefing.

ā€œYou have to play as you play in your clubs and you must have commitment.

ā€œThe first targets are to qualify for the World Cup and AFCON and a win over South Africa will set the tone.ā€
