CAUSE OF MOHBAD’S DEATH CANNOT BE ASCERTAINED — PATHOLOGIST

Owoduni Ibrahim Oluwatosin, a friend of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba known as Mohbad testified in court on May 15 2024 at Ikorodu Magistrate Court. He said his late friend invited him to his show which he attended. During the journey to the show, Mohbad and his wife argued, with Mohbad expressing uncertainty about being the father of their son. He said the deceased told his wife ” I only move to you once, I’m not even sure if I’m the father to our son”.
Prime boy also said that the argument with his wife continued after the show, and when he intervened, Mohbad asked him to leave the car. He left the car and didn’t go home with them that day
He said he left his bag inside the car and the next day he messaged the wife to retrieve his bag, but she asked him to wait. She said “please don’t come to the house for now I will let you know when to come”. He also noted that the car was not damaged, no form of broken glass, and there was no injuries on his hand.
Prof. Sunday Shoyemi, a pathologist at Lasuth, Ikeja performed an autopsy on the late singer, Mohbad, eight days after his death.
He said, unfortunately, the autopsy was unable to determine the cause of death due to advanced decomposition of the body.
Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Wahab Shittu, also confirmed this at a coroner’s inquest in Lagos State.
The pathologist noted that the inability to ascertain the cause of death implies a suspicious and unclear circumstance.
While a specific reason cannot be identified, it is possible that Mohbad’s death resulted from an adverse reaction to certain medications he received before his passing.”
