EDUCATION: NECO DENIES EXTENDING CLOSING DATE FOR INTERNAL REGISTRATION
The deadline for internal registration for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) has not been extended, according to the National Examinations Council (NECO).
According to a statement from the organisation, signed by Azeez Sani, the registration period will end on Monday, June 3, 2024, after opening on Monday, December 18, 2023.
The announcement also stated that the late registration period, which runs from June 4, 2024, to June 10, 2024, will be charged a late registration fee.
As a result, the Council ordered candidates, commandants, state ministries of education, and other relevant parties to ignore posts on social media that purported to extend the registration deadline until June 20, 2024.
The 2024 SSCE Internal will commence on June 19, 2024 and end on July 26, 2024 and candidates will be assessed in 76 subjects during the examination.
