On Friday, May 17, 2024, Vice President Kashim Shettima will preside over a high-level discussion on advancing the progress achieved in President Bola Tinubu’s first year in office.

The Tinubu administration is utilising this event as a means of enlisting international assistance in fulfilling the commitments made in the Renewed Hope Agenda.

At a press conference conducted at the Presidential Villa Abuja, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President in the Office of the Vice President, revealed this.

According to him, the event will look at the areas for consolidation as well as the work the administration has completed in the last year.

Tinubu was sworn in as President on May 29, 2024 alongside Shettima as his deputy. The former Lagos governor and the ex-Borno governor ran a joint ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win the 2023 presidential election, defeating close rivals like Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
