
PETER AJANI APPOINTED AS NEW SOKOTO UNITED HEAD COACH
Peter Ajani has been appointed new head coach of Nigeria National League club, Sokoto United.
Ajani replaced Mansur Abdullahi who was sacked at the end of NNL regular season.
The young tactician is expected to take charge of the team immediately.
Ajani will lead Sokoto United to the NNL Super Eight playoff tournament in Enugu.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Assistant Coach Peter Ajani as the new head coach,” Sokoto United wrote on X.
“Leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience with the team to ensure a smooth transition.
“The management has every confidence in Coach Ajani’s ability to lead Sokoto United FC to success, building on the solid foundation established by his predecessor.”
Sokoto United will face Sporting Supreme in their opening game of the Super Eight playoff.
The tournament is scheduled to run from June 7th-14th, 2024.
