In an effort to empower youth and steer them away from harmful vices, the Nigerian Air Force has given the Zamfara State Government four blocks of fully furnished and equipped classrooms.

As part of a celebration honouring the Nigerian Air Force’s 60th anniversary, Air Vice Marshal Enebong Effiom, the Air Officer Commanding Special Operations Command, transferred the structures at Sabon-gari Kaura Namoda on behalf of Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, the Chief of Staff.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Group Captain Mohammed Aliyu, the Commander of the Nigerian Air Force’s 207 Quick Response Group in Gusau, explained that the donation of classrooms was an initiative by the Air Force to empower the youth and discourage them from engaging in negative social vices that are detrimental to peace and the development of society.

Wadatau Madawaki, the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology in Zamfara State, promised to enhance the quality of teaching and learning by giving the school an extra block of classrooms and instructional materials for instructors and pupils.

After accepting the four classroom buildings from Namoda Secondary School Sabon Gari Kaura, Secretary to the Zamfara State Government Abubakar Nakwada congratulated the force for the project and praised them for helping to keep the country and Zamfara State safe from terrorist attacks.
