Agboola Ajayi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Ondo State, has selected Festus Akingbaso to be his running mate in the contest.
Kennedy Peretei, the PDP’s publicity secretary for the Ondo State branch, verified the news on Sunday evening.
Akingbaso, sometimes referred to as Fessy West, is a representative for the Idanre/Ifedore Constituency in the House of Representatives. He was a member of the Ondo State House of Assembly prior to this.
His hometown is Idanre, which is located in the Ondo Central Senatorial District’s Idanre Local Government Area.
Samuel Ogunmusi, whose name was previously submitted to INEC as a stand-in for the deputy governorship position, is replaced by a member of the National Assembly.
