NPFL SYMPATHISES WITH DOMA UNITED OVER AUTO CRASH
The Nigeria Premier Football League has expressed solidarity with Doma United following their involvement in a road accident.
NPFL chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye, sympathised with Doma United chairman Suleiman Umar following the incident.
Elegbeleye was relieved that no lives were lost during the incident.
The Savannah Tigers were on their way back from Owerri when the bus skidded off the road along the Makurdi-Lafia road during heavy rain on Monday.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Doma United and the contingent at this very difficult time,” he stated during his conversation with the club chief.
“On behalf of the NPFL Board and Management, I wish the injured persons speedy and full recovery, with the hope that they would return to action soon.
“We are particularly relieved that there was no loss of lives in the accident, and we pray for the safety of all other teams and their fans as we gradually roll up the season.”
