SUSPECTED TRANSFORMER THIEF ELECTROCUTED IN BENUE
An unidentified young man has been electrocuted near the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) centre in Otukpo, the headquarters of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
According to reports, the suspected thief had finished vandalising a transformer on a high-tension pole before he was electrocuted when power was suddenly restored by the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC).
It was gathered that the incident occurred late on Friday.

The lifeless body was discovered dangling from the high-tension pole on Saturday morning, with a large crowd of passersby gathered around the corpse.
As of the time of filing this report, electricity distribution officials were still retrieving the lifeless body of the suspect from the electric pole where he was suspended.
A source said, “We came this morning and found the body suspended from the electric pole at a transformer with tools in his hand.”
