LAGOS MCCTI, WOODHALL CAPITAL SIGN PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
… Conclude Plans on Extraordinary 9th Lagos Corporate Assembly
Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade & Investment (MCCTI) has signed a partnership agreement with Messrs Woodhall Capital Limited that will see the frontline Financial Advisory Firm collaborate with the Ministry to implement its various initiatives and programmes.
Speaking at a signing ceremony held recently to kick-start the partnership, Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade & Investment, Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem disclosed that the formalisation of an agreement with Messrs Woodhall Capital Limited will enable the Ministry to work towards achieving its ambitious ministerial mandate.
She said: “The thrust of our policy is to Drive Economic Prosperity and Growth, Focus on Trade and Strengthen the Organised Private Sector through Industrial, MSME and Nanos. The coming of Woodhall will be a great value-addition, as it will bolster our preparedness and planning as we ramp up efforts to attract and sustain viable and vibrant investments and expand commercial, trade/industrial and cooperatives-based activities in the State. We also have Businessday as a partner on this event”.
The Commissioner affirmed that the partnership will commence with the Extraordinary Lagos Corporate Assembly (LCA) tagged: “BOS Meets With Lagos Business Community”, scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 9th July, 2024 at Eko Hotel and Suites and dovetail to other programmes such as the Lagos Investment Roundtable at the African Social Impact Summit (ASIS) among others.
“This year’s edition of LCA is termed extraordinary because it seeks to create a unique platform to bring together regulators, particularly at the Federal level and business operators to address issues affecting business and product registration, regulation, certification and much more. Expected to grace the events are Captains of Industries, top Entrepreneurs, Executives of Business Membership Organisations and other decision-makers in the corporate world”.
“Founder of Woodhall Capital Limited, Mrs. Mojisola Hunponu-Wusu expressed her delight at the agreement which builds on the initial engagement with the Ministry. She expressed the commitment of her organisation to work with the State Government, through the Ministry, to position Lagos as a global city and leading destination for investments in Africa.
“This is indeed the beginning of many great things to come, and it is fascinating for us because it coincides with the 10th anniversary of our organisation – Woodhall, which specialises in raising international funding for large corporates, financial institutions and sovereigns”, she said.
The Lagos Corporate Assembly, also called “BOS Meets with Lagos Business Community”, is a high-profile policy advocacy platform for Mr. Governor and other government officials to directly discuss, collaborate, exchange ideas and obtain feedback from members of the Organised Private Sector (OPS) on issues relevant to the growth and development of business organisations. This pivotal parley enables the Government to gauge the pulse of the business community, resolve issues raised in previous editions, and create a more business-friendly environment.
