NPFL: SULEIMAN, ILECHUKWU WIN PLAYER, COACH OF THE MONTH AWARDS
Akwa United striker Sani Suleiman has been named Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Player of the Month for May/June.
Suleiman scored five goals for the former NPFL champions during the period under review.
The prolific forward won the award for the second time in the 2023/24 season.
He registered 11 goals for the Promise Keepers during the campaign.
Christian Pyagbara, Chijioke Mbaoma, Jonathan Alukwu, John Bassey and Godwin Obaje were the players he beat to the award.
Sunshine Stars tactician Kennedy Boboye claimed the Coach of the Month gong.
Boboye guided Sunshine Stars to four wins and one draw in six outings in the month.
Boboye beat Bayelsa United’s Meremu Okara, Niger Tornadoes’ Majin Mohammed and Rangers tactician Fidelis Ilechukwu to the award.
