ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, force public relations officer, condemned the physical assaulted on an unidentified man by certain police officers shown in a viral video. He made his opinion known on social media.

In the widely circulated video on social media, the unidentified police officers were seen beating a man on Jogunosimi Street, Alausa, Lagos, with sticks and their bare hands.

An X user who identifies as PIDCOM on X.com shared the video with the caption, “Police #PoliceNG officers from the Lagos State police command were caught on camera assaulting an innocent man around Jogunosimi.

“Sadly, the brutality and lawlessness has taken another dimension.  #BenHundeyin #Princemoye1”

Reacting to the video, Adejobi said, “This is not acceptable. The matter has been referred to Lagos Command for investigation. The PPRO logos, #BenHundeyin, has been directed to address the matter and update the public on the fact of the case. Thanks. #BenHundeyin, #PoliceNG, #LagosPoliceNG”
