STAKEHOLDERS FORUM ON MASS EDUCATION: PMO COMMENDS GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU FOR SUPPORT
The Permanent Secretary Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO), Mrs. Adetutu Ososanya, FCA, has commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his unwavering support and commitment to the education sector through the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda of his administration.
Mrs. Ososanya gave the commendation in her remark as the Special Guest at the recently held Y2024 Stakeholders Forum on mass education hosted by the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education, noting that the immense support by the present administration to the Agency underscores the importance of empowering and raising the societal values and enhancing the welfare of residents through education.
According to her, it is essential to improve the standard of youths and other applicable individuals in society through Mass Literacy Programmes (Non-Formal Education) put in place by the State Government at the various Mass Literacy Centres across the state.
Earlier, the Director, Agency for Mass Literacy, Mrs. Oluwakemi Kalensanwo stressed the importance of integrating vocational education with literacy programmes, social and moral backing to bring out the best in participants.
The significant event was witnessed by people officials from the State and Local Governments, Academicians from Tertiary Institutions and representatives of NGOs.
