JUST IN: CJN SWEARS IN 22 A’COURT JUSTICES
The National Judicial Council (NJC), according to Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Olukayode Ariwoola, has already started the process of holding dishonest judges accountable for their “despicable and odious conduct” by forcing them to issue contradictory and misleading rulings.
He said that their actions were an embarrassment to the court and that they were unlikely to be dealt with.
On Wednesday, the CJN delivered remarks during the investiture of 22 justices for the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
He exhorted the newly appointed justices to uphold the constitution in their decisions, not waver, and avoid becoming notorious.
