KATSINA UNITED DEBUNK FIFA BAN ON PLAYERS’ REGISTRATION
Katsina United have debunked reports that the club has been banned from signing new players by FIFA for the 2024–25 season.
The Chanji Boys disclosed this in a statement on X.
According to the reports, Katsina United were banned due to the non-payment of wages to former players whose contracts were terminated.
Katsina United stated that no letter was received from FIFA to that effect.
The statement reads: “First, Katsina United has not received any official communication from FIFA regarding this matter. The purported letter was sent to a former member of the previous club management, not to the current management of Katsina United. However, the current management has validated the matter by reaching out to the player and has promised to settle the issue appropriately.

“It is important to note that the issue mentioned involving a foreign player from Niger Republic pertains to a previous management team; the former management failed to settle the player’s wages, leading him to seek justice through FIFA.
The current management is actively working to resolve any outstanding issues inherited from the previous administration.”
