ALUKWU NAMED SPORTING LAGOS PLAYER OF THE SEASON

Jonathan Alukwu has been voted Sporting Lagos’ Player of the Season.
The forward beat club captain Aliu Salaudeen, Chinedu Ufere and goalkeeper Christian Nwoke to the award.
Nwoke and Ufere came second and third, respectively.
Alukwu won 60 per cent of the votes cast by the club’s supporters.
“With about 60% of the vote, we present your Sporting Lagos player of the season, Jonathan Alukwu,” Sporting Lagos stated on X.
Alukwu scored 12 goals in Sporting Lagos’ debut campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
He is expected to move elsewhere following the club’s relegation.
