
PICTORIAL: EMERGENCY WORKERS BATTLE TO RESCUE TRAPPED PERSONS IN PLATEAU SCHOOL BUILDING COLLAPSE
Volunteers and emergency personnel are rushing to rescue people who are trapped after a school building in Plateau State collapsed.
On Friday morning, the Saints Academy building in Busa Buji, Jos North Local Government Area, collapsed on the pupils and instructors inside.
While numerous more were hurt, at least 12 people have been officially declared dead.
Witnesses claimed that the collapse confined around 70 students, turning the orderly classroom into a chaotic scene.
Men from the Nigeria Police Force, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) officials, and other first responders are on the scene to assist with the ongoing rescue effort.
