LJLA FELLOWS ENGAGE IN INSIGHTFUL FIRESIDE CHAT WITH CBN DEPUTY GOVERNOR

Fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA), led by the Executive Secretary, Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade visited the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Marina Office (CBN), where they engaged in a Fireside chat with Mr. Muhammed Sani Abdullahi, the Deputy Governor on Economic Policy, to broaden their perspectives on economic policies and leadership.

Abdullahi, widely known as Dattijo, shared his journey from his early life in Kaduna State to his current pivotal role at the CBN. Reflecting on his educational background, he emphasised the importance of resilience and determination.

Throughout the interactive session, he imparted several key lessons on leadership and personal development, while harping on the importance of defining objectives, diversifying career skills, and investing in self-improvement.

“Reflecting on your life’s goals allows you to assess your progress, recognise your achievements and realign your efforts towards what truly matters. Plan your career path meticulously and prepare for both the best and worst-case scenarios. This approach ensures you stay on track despite life’s uncertainties”, he advised.

In her vote of thanks, Aasiah Solanke, a Fellow of LJLA expressed their gratitude for the insights gained. “Meeting the Deputy Governor was an invaluable experience, His journey and insights have inspired us to pursue our goals with renewed dedication”, she stated.

As the session wrapped up, Mrs. Agbaje-Okunade expressed her pride in the academy’s fellows and their potential to drive future leadership in Nigeria.

 “Our goal at the LJLA is to groom leaders who are well-prepared to take on tomorrow’s challenges”. she affirmed.
