LASG TRAINS SPECIAL ASSISTANTS, SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANTS, PRIVATE SECRETARIES
The Ministry of Establishments and Training has organised a capacity-building training programme for Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants and Private Secretaries in the Lagos State Civil Service. The training aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of these critical support staff, ensuring they provide effective support to their principals and contribute to the efficient functioning of the state government.
The training programme, held recently in Ikeja, covered topics such as communication skills, time management, record keeping and confidentiality. Participants also learnt about the latest technologies and tools to improve their productivity and efficiency.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishments and Training, Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun, who was represented by the Director, Training, Mrs. Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, emphasised the importance of their roles in supporting the state government’s agenda. “You are the backbone of the administration and your dedication and hard work are crucial to the success of this government”. she said.
The training programme is part of the state government’s efforts to invest in the development of its staff, recognising that a well-trained and motivated workforce is essential to delivering quality services to the citizens of Lagos State.
Participants expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to learn and grow, acknowledging the relevance of the training to their roles. “This training has equipped me with new skills and confidence to perform my duties more effectively”, said one participant.
The Ministry’s commitment to capacity building and staff development is evident in this initiative, demonstrating its dedication to enhancing the performance and productivity of the state’s civil servants.
