WEST HAM INTERESTED IN SIGNING EX-CHELSEA STAR, KANTE
West Ham have approached Saudi Arabia club Al Ittihad to ask about former Leicester and Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kanté as top target.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, direct talks took place between West Ham and Al Ittihad and with player’s camp.
However, Al Ittihad jas no intention to sell Kanté, as they consider him a key player and top professional.
On 21 June 2023, Kante agreed to sign for Al-Ittihad on 1 July upon the expiration of his Chelsea contract.
He was named player of the match as he won the UEFA Champions League after Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1–0 in the 2021 UEFA Champions League Final in Porto.
For his performances throughout the 2020/21 season, Kanté was named the UEFA Men’s Midfielder of the yearon 26 August 2021, but lost out to Chelsea teammate Jorginho in the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Award.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner was part of the French squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2024 European Championship in Germany.
