NPFL: FINIDI REVEALS TARGET AT RIVERS UNITED
Rivers United head coach, Finidi George has reiterated his desire to make a positive impact at the club.
Finidi took over the reigns at Rivers United earlier this month after his brief spell with the Super Eagles.
The 53-year-old has been saddled with the responsibility of repositioning the Port Harcourt club after a disappointing outing in the Nigeria Premier Football League last season.
The former winger revealed that his target is to help Rivers United become a dominant force in Nigerian and African football.
“I think it’s a new chapter for me, and I like the challenge. I want to help the club grow and become a dominant force in Nigerian and African football,” he told SportsBoom in an exclusive interview.
“I’m happy with the project the club is looking at, and I see a lot of potential for growth and success. The vision of the club aligns with my own ambitions, and I believe we can achieve great things together.”
Finidi’s first official game in charge of Rivers United will be an away fixture against Bendel Insurance next month.
