
LAGOS POLICE ARREST EX-CONVICT, GATEKEEPER FOR STEALING $20,000
An ex-convict identified as Margaret Sunday Udoh has been arrested for stealing the sum of $20,000 from her boss who had just employed her.
The 29-year-old ex-convict was released two months ago from the Kirikiri Correctional Facility in Lagos after serving a year in jail for stealing a wristwatch worth N22 million and the sum of €1,500 from her former boss in Ikate, Lagos.
Available information indicates that the lady was employed by her boss on March 4, 2024, and stole the sum of $20,000 from her wardrobe on March 10, 2024, before fleeing to Ebonyi State.
However, the lady, who hails from Akwa Ibom State and has worked as a house help in ten different places within four states in Nigeria, received support from the gatekeeper of the house, identified as Emmanuel Ozogie, who also took $300 from the money.
The duo was arrested on July 28, 2024, and are currently in police custody.
