#EndBadGovernance: MOMODU CRITICIZES GOVERNMENT FOR MOBILIZING FORCE IN RESPONSE TO PROTEST
Nigerian publisher and activist Dele Momodu has criticized the government’s strong response to planned protests, highlighting it in contrast with the country’s ongoing security issues.
In a statement on X, Momodu said, “The Nigerian government can mobilize such force and military equipment, yet bandits and kidnappers are rampant everywhere.”
His remarks follow a video showing a large police presence at an undisclosed location, as authorities prepare for #EndBadGovernance demonstrations that started today.
However, it reported that the demonstrations have begun in Abuja and Lagos, among others.
Posting further, Momodu stated, “The good news is this government has already acknowledged and guaranteed the success of the protests inadvertently.”
