JUST IN: BOBRISKY REGAINS FREEDOM AFTER SIX MONTHS PRISON SENTENCE
Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, a controversial transvestite who was given a six-month prison sentence, has been released.
On Monday, at around ten in the morning, he was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Center.
Bobrisky was jailed for abusing Naira by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos, according to a report published in April by The Nation.
The judge, who imposed the cross-dresser’s sentence without allowing for a fee, stated that his example would deter future abuse of Naira.
The day of his arrest, March 24, also happened to be the start of his jail sentence.
