PARIS 2024: ‘REMAIN FOCUSED, DETERMINED TO WIN LAUREL – REPS SPEAKER CHARGES D’TIGRESS
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has charged D’Tigress to aim for the podium at the ongoing Paris Olympic women’s basketball.
Abbas made this known on the backdrop of Nigeria’s impressive display after D’Tigress defeated Canada 79-70 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the event.
The team also became the first African country to qualify for the quarterfinals at the Olympics.
Recall that D’Tigress will battle the US women’s basketball team for a place in the semi-finals.

However, in a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker assured the D’Tigress and the entire Nigerian contingent at the 2024 Paris Olympics of the Green Chamber’s support.
He urged the team and other members of the Nigerian contingent to remain focused and determined to win laurels for the country.
