LASG SET TO ENGAGE STAKEHOLDERS IN BUILT ENVIRONMENT
The Lagos State Government has concluded plans to engage stakeholders in the built environment to deliberate on best practices in the sector.
The General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki made this known today, adding that this year’s event being the second of its kind, is themed: “Professionalism Across Board In The Built Environment”.
Oki noted that the stakeholders engagement is expected to bring together Professionals, Professional bodies, Regulatory bodies, Property developers, Local Government Chairmen, Community Leaders, Market Men and Women, Artisans, Technocrats and Students from Tertiary Institutions, among others.
Disclosing that this year’s event will hold on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the Balmoral Convention Center, Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, the General Manager called on all stakeholders invited for the programme to make plans to use the event as a unique platform for discussions, networking and shaping the future of our built environment.
Oki noted that invited stakeholders such as artisans, developers, Local Government Chairmen, community leaders and professionals are closer to the people and therefore, it is important to continually educate and enlighten them on the best ways and manners to utilise the environment, obey building codes, regulations and shun the practice of jumping approval processes in the building construction industry.
