
LIGUE 1 CLUB, RC LENS SIGN NIGERIAN MIDFIELDER, OJEDIRAN
Ligue 1 club, RC Lens have announced the signing of Nigerian midfielder Hamzat Ojediran.
Ojediran, who linked up with Lens from Hungarian outfit Debrecen penned a four-year contract.
The 20-year-old spent two years at Debrecen before moving to France.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Hamzat Ojediran for the next four seasons. A revelation in the Hungarian championship in 2023/24, Hamzat is a true force of nature,” General Manager Pierre De rossi told the club’s official website.
“An explosive and athletic midfielder, he is an aggressive ball-winner in the good sense of the word. His determination and commitment on the pitch correspond exactly to what is expected of an RC Lens player. The recruitment of Hamzat is part of the club’s policy of also focusing on emerging players with interesting potential.”
The defensive midfielder was a member of Golden Eaglets side to the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.
He featured in all of Nigeria’s four games in the competition.
