
PARIS 2024: BRUME FAILS TO WIN MEDAL IN LONG JUMP
Ese Brume has failed to win a medal in the women’s long jump event at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Ese finished 5th in the final of the event with a mark of 6.70m.
The 28-year-old was expected to win a medal in the women’s long jump after claiming bronze three years ago in Tokyo.
Ruth Usoro and Prestina Ochonogor, the two other Nigerians in the final, also failed to make it to the podium.
It was the first time Nigeria would field three athletes in the final of an individual event at the Olympics .
Nigeria is yet to win a medal at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
