
KANO CP ENCOURAGES 181 NEWLY PROMOTED OFFICERS TO FIGHT CRIME
Salman Garba, the Kano Police Commissioner, has decorated 181 newly promoted officers and urged them to redouble their efforts to combat crime in the state.
SP Abdullahi Haruna, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, gave the statement to journalists on Wednesday.
“On August 13, 2024, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Police Command, CP Salman Dogo Garba, decorated 181 newly promoted Senior Police Officers,” Haruna said.
According to him, the elevated officers who were promoted from Inspectors to Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP II) were part of the recent promotion released by the Police Service Commission on July 29, 2024.
In his remarks, CP Dogo Garba congratulated the promotees and their families, underlining the significance of dedication, professionalism, and a clean record in obtaining promotion.
He also thanked the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Police Service Commission, and the Force Management Team.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, ASP Jacob Yadume informed the Command that they are committed to carrying out their duties professionally and in accordance with the rule of law.
During his speech to Supervising Police Officers, CP Garba praised them for their efforts despite current security problems.
He urged them to redouble their efforts to protect lives and property in the state.
