JUST IN: FIRE DESTROYS CHURCHES, FURNITURE SHOP IN OYO
The Oyo State Fire Service reported a fire incident on Tuesday at No. 51, Debo Plaza, located opposite Lam Adesina Junction in Felele, Ibadan.
The fire affected two churches and a furniture shop. This was disclosed in a statement by the agency’s General Manager, Yemi Akinyinka.
Akinyinka identified the affected churches as a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the New Covenant Church.

“Fire fighters swiftly swung into action and prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby buildings,” he said.
According to Akinyinka, the fire mostly affected plastic chairs and PVC materials used for ceiling decorations, which were completely burnt.
