TINUBU REAPPOINTS CMDs OF AMINU KANO, TAFAWA BALEWA VARSITY TEACHING HOSPITALS
President Bola Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Prof. Abdurrahman Sheshe as the Chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, for a second and final four-year term, effective December 5, 2023.
He has also reappointed Prof. Yusuf Bara as Chief Medical Director of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, for a second and final term of four years.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, announced the reappointments in two separate statements titled ‘President Tinubu Reappoints Chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital’ and ‘President Tinubu Reappoints Chief Medical Director of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.’
Sheshe was first appointed as Chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital on December 6, 2019.
Ngelale stated that the President expects Prof. Sheshe to “re-dedicate himself to improving the standards of the hospital and ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality services to citizens.”
Meanwhile, the Presidency noted that the reappointment of Prof. Bara followed “an assessment of his performance during his first term in office.”
The President anticipates that with this renewal, Bara will “consolidate on the achievements recorded during his first term.”
