ANAMBRA NURSE ADMITS USING HOT IRON TO DISCIPLINE 13-YEAR-OLD HOUSE HELP
Amarachukwu Happiness Nzekwe, a 38-year-old nurse from Ezinifite in Aguata local government area of Anambra State, admitted to using a hot pressing iron on the back of her 13-year-old househelp as a form of discipline.
Nzekwe confessed to the act after being arrested by officials from the Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, led by Commissioner Hon. Ify Obinabo.
She explained that she resorted to scalding the boy with the iron, which she had heated on a stove, because he refused to confess to stealing her money.
She told the commissioner that: “All the suffering I have been going through was because of this boy. I had surgery and came back home to discover that my money was missing. I didn’t plug the iron to electric; I just placed it on a stove to discipline him.”
