There would be diversion of vehicular traffic from Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, for two days, the Lagos State Government has said.
The state’s commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said the diversion of traffic on the said road is to allow for construction work on its corridor.
According to Osiyemi, that the diversion would be between 9.00 am and 5 pm on August 24 and 9 am and 12 noon on August 25, for the construction work to be completed.
He said, “In the light of this diversion, an alternative route has been mapped out for motorists plying the corridor.
“Motorists on Bourdillon Road heading towards Falomo Roundabout are advised to turn right at Lateef Jakande Road, to Onisiwo inwards Oniru Road to link Thompson Avenue Roundabout into Thompson Avenue, and make a right turn into Bourdillon Road again to proceed with their journey,” Osiyemi said.
He also stated that all the motorists on the lane inbound Alexander Avenue from Falomo Roundabout will not be affected by the traffic diversion.
While urging motorists to cooperate with the process, the commissioner said the traffic diversion would be effectively managed by the state’s traffic management personnel.
