Edo Queens will take on Benin Republic’s Ainonvi FC in the final of WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake on Friday (today).
Moses Aduku’s side will look to emulate Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens as the Nigerian clubs, who have won the competition.
The Nigerian champions are the favourites to win the trophy following a superb group stage performance.
Edo Queens won all three group games, scoring nine goals without conceding.
They beat hosts Inter D’Abidjan 2-1 to earn a place in the final.
Ainonvi FC on the other hand defeated Burkina Faso’s Etincelle 1-0 in the semi-final.
The winner of the competition will represent the zone at the CAF Women’s Champions League.
