
2024 ELECTIONS: APC NOMINATES 23 CHAIRMANSHIP, 276 COUNCILLORSHIP CANDIDATES FOR BENUE LG POLL
Benue State’s All Progressives Congress, led by Austin Agada, has nominated 23 chairpersons and 276 councillorship candidates for the state’s next local government election on October 5, 2024.
According to a statement provided to journalists in Abuja by the APC state chairman’s media office, the primary election was conducted through consensus/affirmations in the majority of local governments and council wards.
Speaking on the development, Samuel Atsuku, who took part in the Tarka Local Government primary election, attributed the success of the party’s primary election to the devotion of the party’s stakeholders in the area.

According to the statement, in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, Simon Aluor, who also participated in the primaries, stated that the APC has set a good example of orderliness and peace, while in Gboko, the primaries ended peacefully with Basil Yina emerging as the party’s flag bearer in the upcoming local government election.
According to the release, the exercise was held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in all ward headquarters across the state’s 23 local government regions.
