NEWS: SCAVENGER HANGS SELF IN LAGOS
Traders at the Ladipo Auto Spare Parts market were shocked today, following the discovery of the lifeless body of a scavenger dangling from a tree at Toyota Bus Stop, on the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Lagos.
Though he was suspected to have committed suicide, the Police were still mum on the circumstances that led to his death.
A wheelbarrow pusher at the market, who identified himself simply as Stephen, told Vanguard, “We saw the dangling corpse by 7 a.m., when we resumed for the day’s business.
“No one could tell when exactly he committed the act.
“There were no marks of violence on his body to suggest that he was attacked before his neck was tied to the tree.
“His bags, filled with empty plastic bottles, were on the ground, and a slipper was still on one of his legs.
“No one could do anything. People only gathered to watch, and take pictures and videos of the scene.

“They said they would post it on the internet so that anyone who knows him will come for his corpse.
“He had tribal marks on both cheeks. He should be in his 30s.
“The body was said to have been removed by 4:30 p.m. by security operatives.”
