24-YEAR-OLD MAN ARRESTED OVER CIRCULATION OF EX-GIRLFRIEND’S NUDE VIDEO IN BAYELSA
Mr. Godgift Bai, a 24-year-old man, has been detained by Bayelsa State Police Command officers for circulating a viral naked video of his ex-girlfriend on various social media platforms.
In a statement, the Public Relations Officer of Bayelsa State Police Command, Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Musa Mohammed, stated that, following the directive of the Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command, CP. Alonyenu Francis Idu, operatives of the Cyber Crime Unit conducted a thorough investigation, which led to the suspect’s arrest.
According to reports, the suspect is the victim’s ex-lover, a twenty-year-old undergraduate.
It was also discovered that the ex-girlfriend gave the suspect N30,000 between August 9th and 16th, which he agreed to repay but later declined.
The lady was reported to have contacted the police, who then summoned the suspect to pay the money. After the suspect paid the money, he allegedly forwarded the lady’s nude videos to bloggers for distribution online.
