DRIVER DIES IN OGUN AUTO CRASH, THREE INJURED
A driver named Bello Lukman was killed in a traffic accident at Oju-Ore, along Idiroko Road in the Ota area of Ogun State, and at least three other passengers were hurt.
Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, informed reporters on Wednesday that the accident happened on Monday night at 8:45 p.m. while the driver was trying to park the car correctly.
Three pedestrians, Ojo Isaac, 26, Ladan Musa Moses, and Tunde Adio, were hit by the car.
When Lukman went to reposition the Honda shuttle car, which had the license plate TTD 537 AE, it was parked by the side of the road. He lost control of the steering during this process and struck some adjacent pedestrians.
The pedestrians were hurt as a result, and they were sent right away for emergency medical attention to the State Hospital in Ota.
Odutola said, “Tragically, Ojo Isaac passed away while receiving treatment. His death was confirmed by the attending doctor, and his body was later transferred to the mortuary at General Hospital, Ifo, for an autopsy.
