OYO GOVT EXTEND REPAIRS TO SECOND PHASE OF ZION-PLAZA OLUSOJI ROAD
The Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency, OYSROMA has begun the second phase of repair on Zion plaza-Olusoji avenue linking Alao-Akala expressway, Ibadan.
OYSROMA would also work on the drainage problem in the areas designated for repairs.
According to Mr. Busoye Ogunlade, Chairman, OYSROMA, first phase of the repair of Zion Plaza- Olusoji Avenue linking Alao Akala Expressway way was executed in June 2024.
Ogunlade said the new repairs will bring hope of relief to the residents and commuters.
The Chairman maintained that desilting work has begun on drainage to put an end to traffic gridlock and ameliorate the plights of road users.
“We desilted the existing drains on that road and cut the bad portions of road,” he added.

“We are looking at having an Oyo State with zero potholes, with clearly defined outcomes of smooth roads, that will aid our socio-economic development,” Ogunlade said.
Ogunlade, who applauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his swift approval of the repairs on roads, stated that the agency considered the second phase of the road, due to its deplorable condition.
According to Ogunlade, repairs on the road, will impact businesses and transportation in the area positively.
“Governor Seyi Makinde listens to the cries of the masses. We have been able to assess some roads in bad conditions, and we are starting a massive repair in the State. Presently, our men are at the second phase of Zion Plaza- Olusoji Avenue linking Alao Akala Expressway, doing repair works,” he said.
