JUST IN: FOUR VEHICLES BURNT AS UNKNOWN GUNMEN ATTACK ENUGU FILLING STATION
Gunmen suspected of being secessionists set fire to the Pinnacle Filling Station in Enugu.
The incident occurred at 10 a.m. on Friday near Agbani Road, and the gunmen also burnt four cars belonging to different customers.
Our correspondent, who went to the scene of the incident, discovered that the four gunmen arrived in a Toyota Corolla automobile.
They were alleged to have seized the nuzzles from the pump workers and used them to spray gasoline on the automobiles around the pump, setting them on fire.
It was also discovered that the gunmen loaded fuel into a 25-litre can, which they used to spray fuel on three automobiles in a nearby car wash on the premises and set them on fire.

Men from the Enugu State Fire and Emergency Services were also seen struggling to put out the fire, as the state commissioner of police led his team to immediately examine the extent of the damage caused by the incident.
Overall, while the filling station was damaged, four automobiles were burnt beyond recognition.
The incident was alleged to have sparked fear in the region, leading business owners and people along that axis to swiftly close.
Police also shut up the Agbani Road, forcing motorists and commuters to use alternate routes by Emeka Ebola to Amokwe and Uwani to Nise Bus Stop.
This is the second time the hoodlums have attacked Pinnacle Filling Station, owned by Governor Peter Mbah.
In June of last year, the New Haven station was attacked, with police officers foiling an effort to completely demolish the building.
This came after the governor’s ongoing war against the state’s sit-at-home culture and general insecurity, which had alarmed some criminal groups.
