The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of Esan West local government area of Edo State.
The Returning Officer for the election, Professor Faruq Adamu Kuta, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, announced that Monday Okpebholo of the APC polled 12,952 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the PDP, Asue Ighodalo, who scored 11,004 votes.
