SHETTIMA ARRIVES NEW YORK TO REPRESENT NIGERIA FOR 79TH UNGA
Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in New York to represent Nigeria at the 79th UN General Assembly (UNGA).
According to a statement issued Monday by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications (Office of the Vice President), the vice president arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport earlier today.
He was greeted by Ambassador Yusuf M. Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation, and the Digital Economy; Kashifu Inuwa, Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA); Nigerian diplomats, UN officials, and others.

Shettima is leading Nigeria’s team to this year’s UNGA, as authorised by President Bola Tinubu, where he will deliver the country’s national declaration and attend a number of high-level meetings.
The vice president departed the nation on Sunday.
