OMAH LAY HAILS DAVIDO AS A LEGEND AHEAD OF COLLABORATION
Nigerian music star Omah Lay has declared his love for Afrobeats megastar Davido, calling him a “legend.”
In a recent interview with The Baller Alert, Omah Lay disclosed that he and Davido were working on a song that would be released shortly, much to the delight of their fans, when questioned about collaborations.
“Actually, we have a song, and it’s coming out soon. I am very excited about the record because it’s something I never imagined would be this great and cool,” Omah Lay shared.
He described the collaborative process as smooth, noting the connection they shared while creating the track.
“The way we got along and made the record is so cool, and Davido is also an amazing person,” he added.
Omah Lay also talked about the rising popularity of Afrobeats in the United States, highlighting Davido as one of numerous well-known Nigerian musicians making waves abroad.
“Davido is a legend. He is big, big,” he emphasized, acknowledging the significant role Davido has played in the global rise of the genre.
This announcement was made months after Omah Lay sparked controversy on social media by implying that he thought Davido harbored animosity toward him.
Omah Lay hinted about the song’s impending release even though he didn’t reveal the title.
The song is anticipated to come out before his much anticipated follow-up album, which he mentioned he had to start over since his initial idea was stolen by another musician.
