EFCC NABS 33 ALLEGED INTERNET FRAUDSTERS, SEIZES FAKE DOLLARS IN RIVERS
In Port Harcourt, Rivers State, agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Port Harcourt Zonal Directorate have taken 33 (thirty-three) people they believe to be online scammers.
In a sting operation, they were apprehended in their hiding places near the Iwofe and Ogboro axes in Port Harcourt, based on reliable information suggesting they were involved in online fraud.
Several cell phones, laptops, boxes of counterfeit US dollars, FBI stamps, Customs stamps, airport clearance stamps, DHL and FedEx stamps, and two cars are among the items found from the suspects.
The suspects will face charges in court after the investigations were finished.
