In a commendable display of effective representation, Honourable Isiaka Kazeem Alalukimba, the councillor for Agunbiade in the Itire/Ikate LCDA, has continued to make a significant impact in his ward. As both a ward councillor and the Majority Leader of the council’s legislators, Alalukimba’s focus on community empowerment has seen the implementation of numerous projects benefiting his constituents.

Since his inauguration, Honourable Alalukimba has prioritized key initiatives, including a “Back to School” programme for primary school pupils, upgrading sports facilities, and rehabilitating classrooms with new desks and chairs. His leadership has brought much-needed improvements, helping to foster education and development within the ward.

At the recent 3rd edition of his Welcome Back to School project, held at Animasahun Nursery & Primary School, Alalukimba, a former student of the school, distributed essential educational materials to pupils. The event saw the distribution of 150 school uniforms, 100 pairs of sandals, 40 school bags, and 500 exercise books. Beyond students, the councillor extended his support to various state officials, including Lagos State Waste Management personnel, police officers, Lagos State Neighbourhood Corps, and Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, providing uniforms to these key stakeholders in the community.

In addition, Alalukimba provided sports facilities such as table tennis equipment, footballs, basketball courts, goalposts, and trophies to local schools in a bid to encourage sports participation among youth. His outreach also extended to the local transport union, ensuring that their members were not left out of the community support initiatives.

Speaking to the media after the event, Honourable Alalukimba explained his passion for education, revealing that he benefited from free education in Lagos State while growing up. “Education is the foundation of any society’s progress,” he stated. “Many parents struggle to provide basic school necessities for their children, and the government cannot do it all alone. My motivation is to help bridge that gap.”

Looking ahead, the councillor expressed his ambition to continue serving his people, citing several infrastructure projects he had lobbied for, including drainage and road construction on streets like Eyiowuwawi, Adewuyi, Adedoyin, Obashola Ajijola, and Aguntasolo.

Honourable Alalukimba expressed gratitude to his constituents, the council leadership, and his colleagues for their support in making these achievements possible. He remains committed to ensuring the continued development and welfare of the Agunbiade ward.
