LAGOS GOVT SET TO CONDUCT YEAR 2024 TRADE TEST FOR ARTISANS IN THE STATE
The Lagos State Government is set to conduct the Year 2024 Trade Test for Artisans in the State on 15th and 17th October, 2024.
A statement signed by the Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, affirmed that the dates earlier fixed for the conduct of the Test remain unchanged.
The Director further revealed that the Theoretical Aspect of the test will be conducted in two different centres: Government Technical College, Odomola, Epe and Government Junior College, Agege.
He added that affected Artisans in Epe, Ikorodu
and Ibeju Lekki Local Government Areas will sit for the Theoretical Aspect of the test at Government Technical College, Odomola , Epe while those in Agege, Ifako Ijaiye, Alimosho, Amuwo – Odofin and Ikeja Local Government Areas will sit for the test at Government Junior College, Agege on Tuesday, 15th October, 2024.
According to the statement, the Practical Aspect of the test will be conducted on Thursday, 17th October, 2024 at the different designated centres in the State as stated below:
1. Lagos State Examinations Board, Agege
2. Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Falomo Jetty, Ikoyi
3. Government Technical College, Ikotun
4. Skills Acquisition Centre, Egbeda
5. Grano Institute at Orimolade, Haruna, Ifako Ijaiye
6. De Food Institute, Seliat Bus Stop, Abule Odu, Idimu
7. Government Technical College, Odomola, Epe
The Director, therefore, urged all concerned candidates to take note of the dates set aside for the conduct of both the Theoretical and Practical Aspects of the test, adding that their participation at the two aspects will determine their overall performance in the examination.
Mr. Orunsolu also pointed out that the essence of the Trade Test for Artisans in the State is to make their certificates more meaningful to their professions and also add value to the Test.
About 350 duly registered Artisans are expected to take part in the Trade Test.
