President Bola Tinubu has departed the United Kingdom for Paris, France, for an “important engagement.”

The President’s Senior Special Assistant on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari, confirmed this on his verified X handle, @KabirIbrah64, on Friday.

Masari wrote, “Today, I had the honour of visiting President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu GCFR at his private residence in the United Kingdom, where we engaged in productive discussions. We then departed for Paris, France, for another important engagement.”

However, Masari did not disclose details of the Paris engagement.

Recall that on Wednesday, October 2, Tinubu departed Nigeria for a two-week working vacation in the UK as part of his annual leave.

His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced his departure in a statement titled ‘President Tinubu goes on annual leave.’

Onanuga said, “He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms. He will return to the country after the leave expires.”

Since his assumption of office, France has become Tinubu’s 28th foreign destination.

So far, he has visited Equatorial Guinea, London, the United Kingdom (four times); Bissau, Guinea-Bissau (twice); Nairobi, Kenya; Porto Norvo, Benin Republic; Pretoria, South Africa; Accra, Ghana; New Delhi, India; Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; New York, the United States of America; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (twice); Berlin, Germany; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Dakar, Senegal and Doha, Qatar.
