IDEATO NORTH AND SOUTH STAKEHOLDERS PRAISE UZODINMA ON ROAD PROJECTS
Governor Hope Uzodinma has received praise from the leaders of Ideato North and South Local Governments for his several infrastructure interventions in both LGAs.
They also noted that their conditions have never been better since the state’s founding.
Over 5,000 indigenous people from both local government areas (LGAs), including political, traditional, opinion, and religious leaders, gathered at Mgbe Hall in Ideato South to assess the constituency’s current condition of affairs.
In a communique, the forum praised Uzodinma for his multiple interventions inside the LGAs.
In order to express support for the governor’s accomplishments in the areas of security, education, healthcare, appointments, and infrastructure particularly the 22-kilometer Orlu-Mgbee-Akokwa-Uga road that has guaranteed connectivity between the two LGAs and beyond a meeting called by Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu was called.
Even though these were federal highways and had been disregarded by earlier administrations, according to Arodiogbu, Uzodinma, moved by the suffering of the people, had taken it upon himself to build these roads, which was the only reason for which they were grateful. They also praised Governor Uzodinma for completing the road so quickly.
The resolution to recall Ikenga Ugochinyere, the member representing Ideato North and South Federal Constituency, for failing to represent the zone since his emergence in 2023, was unanimously adopted among the other things that came up.
The leaders observed that the Ideato North and South Constituency had never had such poor representation, with issues that were important to the community being overlooked while the representative chose to focus on issues that had just made the community laugh.
The leaders declared that since the constituency sorely needed competent representation, they would shortly launch a recall procedure for Ugochinyere in accordance with the terms of the Constitution, the Electoral Act, and the current INEC standards.
