KAZIM ADEOTI, “WHY I DIDN’T ATTEND MY FIRST WIFE’S 50TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION”

Read Time:2 Minute, 7 Second

Kazim Adeoti, a marketer and film producer, has apologized for missing his first wife Olufunsho Adeoti’s 50th birthday celebration in the US.

Adeoti, who is currently married to Mercy Aigbe, clarified that Olufunsho specifically instructed him not to go to the celebration.

He also talked about how he honored her requests to prevent shame while yet providing her with emotional and material support.

Adeoti asserted that, in contrast to popular belief, they have a friendly relationship and that she replied favorably when he wished her a happy birthday offline.

Adeoti emphasized that Olufunsho continues to play an important role in his life as the mother of his four children and begged the media and social media users to stop posting disparaging remarks about his family.

He expressed gratitude for the love and support from friends and family and acknowledged the success of the birthday party.

ā€œThis is to address the recent media comments surrounding Mrs Olufunsho Adeotiā€™s 50th birthday celebration which was held in the US last weekend.

ā€œFor the avoidance of doubt, the celebrant spoke about her plan for her 50th birthday party and how she wished to celebrate it. She wanted a party but shockingly she specifically said I should not attend. I asked her again to be sure in the presence of our children and to everybodyā€™s surprise her response was consistent-she said NO.

ā€œThat was her wish and I would not want to be embarrassed by attending a party that the celebrant asked me not to attend, so I stayed in Nigeria.

ā€œRegardless of how painful her position was to me, I ensured that I supported her morally and financially towards the partyā€™s success. I also informed and ensured some of our families and friends in the USA honoured her big day.

ā€œAs I always do, I wish her a happy birthday offline and she acknowledged pleasantly.

ā€œOlufunsho remains a significant part of my life. I can never wish her anything other than what is beautiful in life because she is the proud mother of my four lovely children. That can never be undone intact. It is the most important thing in my life.

ā€œI therefore will appeal to members of the public especially the social media, particularly the Facebook community to desist from making unfound and distorted comments about my family if you truly love and care about us.

ā€œThe best way to support us is to let peace reign as social media is not real life. Thank you, and God bless you, Kazim Adeoti.ā€
